Chinese luxury brand Exlantix lands in Australia mid-2027
Chery's luxury brand Exlantix launches in Australia mid-2027 with electric or hybrid shooting brake and SUV.
Chery, the Chinese carmaker that returned to Australia in 2023, is moving upmarket. The company will launch its premium brand Exlantix here next year.
In Australia, it operates under that name due to trademark restrictions. Other markets call it Exeed.
Two models will lead the rollout. The ES GT is a low-roofed shooting brake with a long rear body.
It offers a different shape from the SUVs that dominate new-brand launches. The other model is the ET SUV.
Both cars will come in right-hand drive. Exlantix will offer both battery-electric and plug-in hybrid versions.
The exact powertrain choices for each model are still to be confirmed. Pricing and detailed specs have not been announced.
The move expands Chery's Australian presence. This now includes the mainstream Omoda Jaecoo and the upmarket Lepas brand.
