Qantas slashes points needed for domestic flights by up to 30 per cent

Qantas cuts domestic flight points by up to 30 per cent for frequent flyer members.

Qantas has launched a sale offering Frequent Flyer members access to domestic flights using fewer points. Members can save up to 30 per cent on Classic Flight Reward seats.

The savings apply in January, February, and May through September 2027. An extra 20 per cent saving applies over the summer holidays and in March and April.

The sale covers hundreds of routes across Qantas's domestic network and took effect on Friday. Qantas Loyalty Chief Executive Andrew Glance said members booked a record number of reward seats last year.

Reduced points costs mean members can stretch their balance further. Members can use these savings for a summer break in Queensland, a weekend away in Hobart, or family visits interstate.
