Teen who assaulted woman while on drugs to be sentenced next month

The 18-year-old attacker was on methylamphetamine, MDMA, benzodiazepines and semi-synthetic opioids during the attack.

A teenager attacked a woman sleeping rough outside Adelaide's Mitcham Memorial Library on November 13, 2025. The victim was 64 years old.

The 64-year-old suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital. The teenager was on a "cocktail of drugs".

These included methylamphetamine, MDMA, benzodiazepines and semi-synthetic opioids. He pleaded guilty to hurting someone on purpose and serious criminal trespass.

During a pre-sentence hearing this week, the court heard he had autism and severe ADHD. His sentence will be handed down next month.
