Lilydale housing project breaks ground with 16 new lots

Jim Westley's Rocky Creek development starts in October. The 16-lot project in Tasmania includes environmental restoration and community donations.

Construction begins this month on Rocky Creek, a residential development in Lilydale. Lilydale is a small town north of Launceston with a strong community.

The project will deliver 16 new homes on land named after a creek flowing through the site. Lot sizes range from 475 to 2,500 square metres, offering variety for different buyers.

Vegetation along Rocky Creek will be restored, with new street trees and landscaping at the entrance. Building is expected to take three to four months.

Titles will be issued by mid-2027. Jim Westley has partnered with Harrison's Agents to donate $1,000 per lot sold back to the community.

Half goes to the local school for a new garden. The other half goes to Lilydale Landcare for environmental work.
