Catherine revisits children's hospice 14 years after opening
Catherine spent nearly an hour with children and families at The Treehouse hospice in Ipswich.
The Princess of Wales returned to the hospice she opened in 2012 as patron of East Anglia's Children's Hospices. Catherine met 13-year-old Charlotte, who has a rare genetic muscle disorder and sang for her, and four-year-old Primrose, born with a congenital heart defect who has had three heart surgeries.
Catherine commended the children as "brave" and spoke with volunteers and supporters. The Treehouse provides short breaks and specialist care for children with life-limiting conditions and bereavement support for families.
The hospice wants to expand with a new hydrotherapy pool, larger therapy suite and bigger kitchen; it has about £4 million in place and until October 2027 to raise the rest.
