Sam Wood loses bid to hide court documents in domestic violence case
Brisbane Supreme Court rejected Sam Wood's attempt to suppress court documents, with the judge only hiding names and addresses.
Sam Wood, the former Bachelor star, failed in his attempt to suppress court documents relating to domestic violence accusations. Supreme Court Justice Patrick McCafferty refused the full non-publication order Wood's lawyers sought, instead only temporarily hiding names, addresses and identifying details in the publicly available documents.
The suppression also extends to any bail address if Wood is released. Wood is charged with assault, strangulation and domestic violence following allegations he pushed, choked and struck his wife Snezana on October 3 after they returned from dinner, leaving her in fear for her safety.
He was arrested on October 4 and remains in custody at Wolston Correctional Centre on remand. All allegations are denied.
His next bail application is due to be heard at court next Friday.
