A social media video appears to show Daniel Thomas, 37, using a knife on an inflatable boat in the English Channel. The boat was empty of migrants but had a rescue services member on board.
While shouting "You're in English territory," Thomas was arrested Wednesday evening on suspicion of criminal damage meant to endanger life. He remains in custody.
Thomas is a longtime associate of Tommy Robinson and founded Patriot Platform, behind recent anti-migrant protests.
