Man arrested over hammer theft of Pokemon cards in Adelaide
A man was arrested after a masked offender allegedly smashed a display cabinet and stole Pokemon cards from an Adelaide toy store.
A man wearing a balaclava entered a toy store at the Colonnades shopping centre in Noarlunga on Thursday evening carrying a hammer. The masked offender smashed a glass display cabinet, grabbed Pokemon cards, and fled through the carpark.
Police searched the area that night but did not initially find the suspect. Detectives later arrested a 29-year-old man at a Christies Beach address.
No one was injured during the incident. The man was charged with breaching a bail agreement, carrying an offensive weapon, property damage, theft, and carrying an article of disguise.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear in court.
