Dockers edge Geelong to reach preliminary final
Fremantle beat Geelong in a semifinal thriller to reach their first preliminary final since 2015, now facing Sydney.
Fremantle started brilliantly and built a 31-point lead but were challenged in the third quarter. Luke Jackson turned the game in seven stunning minutes, booting two goals and setting up a crucial running goal to swing momentum hard.
Fremantle held on to win and book a spot in next week's preliminary final against Sydney. Coach Justin Longmuir said there's no satisfaction yet: the job is not done.
The Swans will be heavy favourites at their home ground after beating Brisbane, but Longmuir said his team will go over there as genuine underdogs and give their best.
