Real estate agent Di Nardo challenges licence suspension
Anthony Di Nardo is fighting a suspension of his real estate licence after assault allegations emerge.
Anthony Di Nardo, a former Belle Property principal, is appealing a suspension of his real estate licence. NSW Fair Trading suspended it after saying he was not fit and proper to hold one.
Di Nardo faces 14 criminal charges in Newcastle District Court, which he denies. At a tribunal hearing in Sydney on Wednesday, allegations surfaced from eight women.
They span almost 20 years and were all his employees. The allegations include assaults at work, suspected drink spiking, offers of cocaine, and unwanted sexual comments.
Fair Trading's barrister said no condition on his licence could comfort the public. Not unless someone watched him 24 hours a day.
Di Nardo's barrister said the charges aren't about his work. He said the alleged wrongdoing has not been proven.
The tribunal is deciding if Di Nardo meets the legal standard to hold a licence.
