Driver caught with blood alcohol more than five times the legal limit

A 30-year-old allegedly blew 0.250 on a breath test, more than five times the legal limit of 0.05.

The man was found sitting in a ute with the engine running at a Raymond Terrace petrol station on Friday night after members of the public raised welfare concerns. A roadside breath test allegedly came back positive.

At the police station, a second test allegedly showed a reading of 0.250. The 30-year-old was issued a court notice for driving with a high-range blood alcohol level and his licence was suspended.
