Ford F-150 recalled for fuel leak and fire risk
A faulty fuel tank strap may detach during driving, causing fuel leaks and potential vehicle fires.
Ford Australia is recalling the F-150 pickup due to a manufacturing defect in the fuel tank strap. The strap may not be properly secured to the frame and could detach while the vehicle is driving.
A faulty strap causes fuel to leak and, if exposed to an ignition source, risks a vehicle fire. A fire could injure or kill vehicle occupants, other drivers and bystanders.
Owners should contact an authorised Ford dealer to schedule a free inspection and repair. Ford Australia's phone number is 13 36 73.
This is the latest recall for the F-150 since it was launched in Australia in 2023, following several earlier recalls and stop-sales.
