Trump shares fatal tiger attack, mocks it with AI on Truth Social
Trump reshared video of William Chapman's fatal tiger attack to 13 million followers, then posted AI mockery despite the family's plea.
William Chapman, 23, died after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in the UK over the weekend. Trump reshared the video to his 13 million Truth Social followers with the caption "Don't ever mess with nature!"
Chapman's family said the recirculation was "deeply offensive" and caused "severe distress at an exceptionally vulnerable time." The family pleaded with people to stop.
Trump doubled down that same day, posting more animal attack videos, then an AI-generated video of himself wrestling the tiger. South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard said Trump was using AI to "mock" the family's tragedy for "little more than a cheap laugh on social media."
Piers Morgan and others called the posts "appallingly tasteless."
