ACT worker Suyash Sinha charged with stalking; refused bail
Suyash Sinha, 31, was charged with stalking a woman he met on a dating app and allegedly threatened with government database access.
Sinha found a woman on a dating app in January 2026 and asked her out. She said no. Suyash Sinha kept messaging her all year.
In August, he spotted her at a supermarket where he worked too. He messaged her to describe what she was wearing and said he was there.
When she met him at a pub to tell him to stop, he said he worked for the ACT Government and named one of her siblings. He also made fake social media accounts with threatening names.
He sent her daily friend requests in September. Prosecutors say he threatened to use government records to find out about her and her family.
The magistrate refused bail, saying he showed no regard for her wishes or safety.
