Canberra woman charged with grooming and sexually abusing 15-year-old
Woman faces four counts of sexual intercourse with a minor and one count of grooming.
A Canberra woman has been accused of grooming and repeatedly sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy between September and October. The 27-year-old woman appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday, charged with four counts of sexual intercourse with a young person and one count of grooming.
Police alleged they found video evidence of the pair having sex. The magistrate granted her bail despite prosecution opposition, noting she had no criminal history.
The court heard she had no fixed address but had friends who could help her. The magistrate said bail conditions could manage the risks involved.
The matter was adjourned to 11 November.
