Lachie Neale has signed a three-year deal with Collingwood after leaving Brisbane as a free agent. The 33-year-old won the Brownlow medal twice with the Lions.
Brisbane won their third straight premiership this year. Collingwood list manager Justin Leppitsch said Neale would strengthen their midfield.
Speaking as a Collingwood player for the first time, Neale said the move feels 'surreal'. He spent eight years at Brisbane after seven years at Fremantle.
Brisbane received draft pick 39 as compensation for losing Neale. Lions coach Chris Fagan praised Neale's strength through recent personal difficulties.
