Chiefs beat Raiders, stay unbeaten after disastrous 2025
Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes led the 4-0 Chiefs to a 30-27 win over Las Vegas on Sunday.
The rivalry between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders goes back to 1960, when the Chiefs were the Dallas Texans and the Raiders were in Oakland. At no time had both teams faced each other with a record of 3-0 or better until Sunday's game at Las Vegas's Allegiant Stadium.
Kansas City won 30-27, with Kenneth Walker scoring two fourth-quarter touchdowns. The Raiders mounted a furious comeback in the final minutes.
Kirk Cousins threw a 20-yard touchdown to tight end Brock Bowers with 1:46 left, then connected on a two-point conversion to cut it to three. But Chiefs punter Matt Araiza pinned Las Vegas on its one-yard line.
Xavier Nwankpa's interception with 10 seconds sealed the win. Kansas City won just six games last season.
The Raiders won three. Under new coach Klint Kubiak, Las Vegas is proving the doubters wrong.
