John Dewar exits KordaMentha after admitting university conflict
John Dewar was UOW's interim vice-chancellor. He left KordaMentha after admitting to ICAC that he gave the firm inside university information.
Professor John Dewar admitted to the Independent Commission Against Corruption in July. He put his consulting firm's interests ahead of the University of Wollongong's.
While serving as interim vice-chancellor, he sent KordaMentha details about UOW's financial position. The firm used this in its tender proposal for university work.
Dewar has now left KordaMentha. He was a partner in the performance improvement division.
Dewar is no longer listed on the firm's website. Some links with his name show error messages.
Dewar, 67, resigned from boards at Griffith University. He also left Online Education Services and the State Library of Victoria.
He appears to have deleted his LinkedIn profile. The NSW parliamentary committee said in its final report that Dewar may have misled parliament.
