Jordan Ridley traded to Geelong from Essendon
Geelong has acquired 27-year-old defender Jordan Ridley from Essendon in exchange for utility Jack Bowes and multiple draft picks.
Geelong and Essendon have completed a trade sending defender Jordan Ridley to the Cats. Ridley, 27, joins Geelong alongside pick No. 60 and a 2028 fourth-round pick.
Essendon receives Jack Bowes, a 2027 first-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick. Ridley won Essendon's best-and-fairest award in 2020 and was named All-Australian that year.
Ridley has played just 26 games in the past three seasons. Bowes, drafted No. 10 in 2016, played 69 games for Geelong but managed only nine appearances this year.
The Bombers have strengthened their draft position, now holding four picks in the top 25.
