Bendix will soon have new owners after parent enters administration
Bendix brake manufacturer will be bought by new owners. Its parent, FMP Group, entered voluntary administration on October 26.
Bendix will soon have new owners after its parent company FMP Group entered administration. More than 100 workers at the Delacombe factory will keep their jobs.
The plant will operate unchanged during the transition. FMP Group's US owner, First Brands Group, entered liquidation in August.
This hurt FMP Group. Bendix made brake parts at the site for 70 years.
It survived Australia's auto industry collapse. New ownership will let Bendix run on its own in Australia and New Zealand.
