Judith Lucy shares head injury story days after cancer news

Comedian Judith Lucy hit her head on a small table. This happened nine days after she learned she had breast cancer.

Lucy, 58, posted on Instagram about the injury after mixing sleeping pills and alcohol while dealing with her diagnosis. She hit her head on a small table and got a cut on her temple and a bruised eye.

Lucy announced her early-stage breast cancer on October 6. She said she had a lumpectomy and will have a double mastectomy.

Lucy joked about the injury in her post. Her surgeon said the mark "just blends in with the other lines on your forehead".

The stand-up comedian and TV personality said the incident showed how heavy the diagnosis feels. But she stressed she is "currently doing okay with the cancer situation".

She urged readers not to mix alcohol and sleeping pills.
