151-unit apartment tower planned for Forrest carpark site
Two 8-storey buildings with 151 apartments have been proposed for a Forrest carpark. This follows rezoning of the former Italian Club site.
A $70 million apartment project would replace a Wilson carpark in Forrest. Kappelle Projects is building 151 homes in two 8-storey buildings.
The units are 29 studios and one-bedroom, 89 two-bedroom, 32 three-bedroom and one four-bedroom. The site is at the corner of Franklin Street and Dominion Circuit.
In June 2026, it was rezoned from suburban to mixed-use, allowing the project. Removing the carpark will affect office workers from nearby Services Australia Finance.
The project has a two-level basement with 216 parking spaces. It also has a landscaped courtyard and a gym.
Comments on the development application are open until December 2.
