Grass between toes suggests body moved in Crawford murder case

Police evidence in Robert Crawford's murder trial describes grass between the victim's toes, suggesting her body was moved.

Frances Crawford, a 49-year-old psychologist and mother of three, was found dead at her Upper Lockyer home on 30 July 2024. Robert Crawford, a former RAAF pilot, is accused of her murder and has pleaded not guilty.

The Crown alleges he killed her and staged the scene to look like a lawnmower accident. During the trial's second week, a police photographer gave evidence describing a piece of grass found between Ms Crawford's big toe and second toe, despite her body being found fully clothed with socks on.

The officer told the court it was the foot without the Ugg boot that was found to have grass attached. Mr Crawford has admitted in court to infidelity over 20 years with multiple women.

The trial is continuing in Brisbane Supreme Court.
