Hazlewood, Starc, Cummins and Lyon reach 600 Test wickets together
The four fast bowlers and Nathan Lyon passed 600 combined Test wickets last week, becoming the first group to do so.
Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon made history in Durban with a 214-run win over South Africa. Together, they became the first quartet to surpass 600 Test wickets played as Australia's attack.
This summer marks their tenth straight year as the first-choice bowling unit, since Cummins' return for the 2017-18 Ashes. All four say they are relishing the time together, knowing it cannot last forever.
Hazlewood described it as a "golden period" at the end of a career, where the pressure lifts and nothing changes your life anymore. Nathan Lyon is giving up alcohol to squeeze every last bit of cricket from his career.
On current form, none look ready to retire, with winning in South Africa, India and England as the team's clear goal.
