Two attackers firebomb car metres from sleeping family in Perth
Two people set fire to a parked Volkswagen outside a home with four people inside at 2.20am Friday.
CCTV footage shows a white sedan circling a quiet cul-de-sac in Ballajura about 2.20am. Nearly 20 minutes later it returned.
Two hooded figures exited, poured liquid on a parked Volkswagen and set it alight. Flames erupted just metres from the front door of a house where four people were sleeping.
The attackers fled in the sedan. The car became a burnt-out wreck.
Emergency crews arrived about 10 minutes later. The homeowner told police she has no idea why her house was targeted or who the attackers were.
Neighbours described the street as quiet and peaceful, saying the family is well-liked.
