Bridport properties with rare history hit the market at same time
Two unusual Bridport homes list together: a $2.5 million farmhouse with salvaged church fittings, and a $799,000 house with a trotting track.
An industrial farmhouse on 95 acres at Ironstone Park is listed with expectations of more than $2.5 million. Built six years ago on a former 1950s property site, it kept an internal brick wall as a feature.
A light fitting inside came from a Melbourne church the owner's father was renovating. The property was named after iron found in the ground.
Two kilometres away, a 19-acre home called Kilbarra is listed for $799,000-plus. A three-bedroom 1970s property, it includes a former trotting track that runs around the perimeter where a previous owner trained horses.
The real estate agent says both have attracted mainland interest and locals vying for each, with horse lovers eyeing the Kilbarra property.
