Paddy Lavis heads west as Corowa-Rutherglen speedster joins Swan Districts
The 21-year-old Corowa-Rutherglen player moves to Swan Districts to develop his speed on larger Western Australian fields.
Lavis had a standout round 18 display with 32 touches and 12 marks against North Albury, showcasing his pace and kicking skills. The 185-centimetre player prefers half-back flank, where he can intercept and run off the ball.
Lavis joins several other Ovens and Murray footballers who have moved west, including Jez Rigoni, who played 14 games at Swan Districts last season. Lavis hopes the WAFL's bigger grounds will let him make the most of his speed advantage.
