Russia strikes Ukraine's largest steelworks again
Russia attacked Ukraine's largest steelworks in Kryvyi Rih and other targets including electricity substations and cargo vessels.
Russia carried out a large-scale attack overnight. Russia targeted Ukraine's biggest steel plant in Kryvyi Rih.
ArcelorMittal owns the plant. Earlier Russian strikes had hit it.
The plant stopped operating in September. Russia's defence ministry said the facility supplied steel for Ukraine's military-industrial complex.
Russian forces also hit an electricity substation in Zhytomyr, a city in the northwest. They hit another steel plant in Zaporizhzhia.
Later strikes hit a vehicle-repair plant in Lutsk. Another substation was hit in Ternopil.
Oleksandr Myronenko is the chief operating officer of steelmaker Metinvest. He said the Zaporizhzhia plant had not recovered from past attacks.
He said the strikes made no sense.
