Soil sampling reveals 231.8 ppb gold sample at new WA project
Soil sampling at Mindoolah returned a high-grade 231.8 parts per billion gold result at the Golden Gate prospect.
King River Resources completed a soil survey at its flagship Mindoolah project in WA's Murchison province, returning a standout 231.8 ppb gold sample at Golden Gate on the eastern side. The mean concentration of elevated samples there is 21 ppb, about 10 times the normal background of 2 ppb.
On the western side, Le Soleil-Demagnetised returned results up to 69.9 ppb, with a mean of 27 ppb, roughly five times background. The results align with structural corridors and magnetic features typical of gold deposits.
King River is now running an 11,000-metre phase-two drilling campaign, with samples already dispatched to the lab from early drilling at Excelsior, which hit 9.3 grams per tonne gold in a four-metre section.

Why it mattersThe soil results define drill-ready gold targets for a major exploration play; investors closely watch assay results to confirm subsurface promise.
AustraliaPotential future gold production from Western Australia; success could mean regional employment and extend Australia's mining resource base.
