Anderson is one of 22 players Wahgunyah has signed this off-season, and the first from Wangaratta.
Wangaratta Magpies premiership player Mark Anderson will join Wahgunyah for the 2027 season. The 32-year-old was part of Wangaratta's sustained success in the Ovens and Murray Football League.
Wahgunyah co-coach Kodee Lowe called the signing a coup, as the club had never recruited a Wangaratta player before. The club is trying to rebuild its standing after a difficult post-COVID period.
Lowe said the club had chased Anderson for several years. Majok Bol and Bol Kolang, two Sudanese players, are also expected to help the club's junior development.
Majok Bol and Bol Kolang live in Melbourne but are committed to travelling to play and train.
