Murray Foulsham, 11, fundraises for hospital while fighting bone cancer
Eleven-year-old Murray Foulsham was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma in May. He had surgery this week. He has raised $2,000-3,000 for Perth Children's Hospital charities.
Murray Foulsham was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma (bone cancer in his left leg) in May. He began seven rounds of chemotherapy in June at Perth Children's Hospital.
Murray Foulsham had surgery on Wednesday and faces at least two weeks in hospital for recovery. Despite the hardship, Murray started Murray's Movement.
It raises funds for Radio Lollipop and Starlight Foundation, charities that support kids in the hospital. Cottesloe Primary School rallied behind him.
About 20 Year 5 and 6 students shaved their heads with him before chemo started. Classmate Jessica made bandanas to sell for five dollars each.
His mum Leeann said Murray shows determination and good humour through it all. The community response has been amazing, with bake sales and lemonade stalls raising funds.
