Daniel Tupou has retired after winning his fourth premiership with Sydney, finishing a 15-year career with a club-record 198 tries.
Daniel Tupou has retired after Sydney's grand final victory over Newcastle, finishing his 15-season career with the Roosters. The 307-game veteran played his last match in the decider, claiming his fourth premiership.
Tupou is the club's all-time greatest try-scorer with 198 tries. Daniel Tupou surpassed club legend Anthony Minichiello's record in 2023 and became the first Rooster to score 150 tries the following season.
Tupou made his debut in 2012 and never played for another club. Coach Trent Robinson said he revolutionised the aerial game and was among the greatest in club history.
Tupou said faith guided him throughout his journey and he felt blessed by the opportunity.
