Beau Lamarre-Condon trial: accused pressures mate to retract account
The accused told a friend the friend misheard details about Qantas host Luke Davies in a secret jail call.
A jury heard recordings of Lamarre-Condon telling a jailed friend the friend misheard key details. In a December call, Lamarre-Condon asked the friend not to talk about the case with others.
Lamarre-Condon then said the friend got it wrong. Lamarre-Condon said the friend misheard what he'd told him about the second victim, Qantas host Luke Davies.
When the friend pushed back and said "don't you dare switch up," Lamarre-Condon said he'd never told him anything about killing Davies. He pleaded not guilty to killing TV presenter Jesse Baird and Davies on February 19, 2024.
He is claiming he acted in self-defence.
