Tina Wyer is a chartered accountant from Wodonga. She worked as a JP Morgan executive in New York, Sydney and Singapore.
She has become interim board chair of Hume Bank. The 51-year-old returned to Australia in October 2020 after roles including chief financial officer and head of corporate technology in Asia.
She joined Hume's board in 2022 and took over from Kerry Grigg as interim chair. The bank is recruiting a new chief executive to replace Stephen Capello, who left in March.
The board changed its rules to allow her appointment. She lives outside the traditional 50-kilometre requirement for Hume directors.
