Two boats engulfed in fire at Manly Boat Harbour in Brisbane
Two boats caught fire at Manly Boat Harbour on Monday, but no one was hurt.
The fire broke out at about 3pm at the eastern end of the Brisbane marina, with black smoke visible across the Royal Esplanade. Police evacuated the area and assisted fire crews, who arrived about 20 minutes later.
Officers said one of the burning vessels was close to a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) bottle. The blaze was contained by 3.45pm.
Paramedics reported no injuries, but remained at the scene while fire crews searched both boats.
