Mother paralysed after man falls from tree onto her at Kentucky festival
Jamie Ulshoffer was paralysed when a man fell from a tree onto her at the Louder Than Life festival.
A mother of two from Tennessee is now paralysed from the waist down after a freak accident during a music festival in Kentucky last week. Jamie Ulshoffer was standing near trees with her husband when a man fell from above and landed on top of her, severing her spinal cord.
Doctors have not yet confirmed whether she will ever walk again. From her hospital bed, Ulshoffer said she can no longer do the everyday things she used to do with her children.
The man who fell from the tree messaged her in hospital apologising for the incident. Ulshoffer told him he shouldn't have been climbing in a tree, especially after heavy rain.
Her family has raised more than $42,000 AUD through a fundraiser to help cover her medical bills and ongoing care.
