Fagan won't pick his Brisbane successor if he steps down
Fagan, 65, has ruled out choosing his replacement despite winning a third consecutive premiership, saying the club must decide.
Brisbane coach Chris Fagan won three straight AFL flags but remains undecided on his future, even with a year left on his contract. The 65-year-old says picking a successor would be unfair to internal candidates who are close friends.

Fagan is also tempted by a four-peat, something no team has achieved in AFL or VFL history since Collingwood between 1927 and 1930. Brisbane's chairman said the coach will have a few days to soak in the premiership glory and collect his thoughts before the club has a chat with him.
