Drivers with a full licence lose it after accumulating 13 points. A recent NRMA report found passengers cause 62 per cent of seatbelt violations, with penalties directed to the registered car owner.
Western Australia remains in a double demerit period for its King's Birthday holiday until midnight Monday.
