BYD's Altior targets Rolls-Royce with $425,000 ultra-luxury sedan
Yangwang Altior will launch around November 5, priced at about A$425,000 in China and designed to rival Rolls-Royce.
BYD's Yangwang brand will unveil the Altior sedan around November 5. Priced at about A$425,000 in China, it undercuts the Rolls-Royce Ghost sold in Australia from $680,000.
The design borrows heavily from Rolls-Royce, with rear-hinged doors similar to the Ghost and Phantom. Split headlights, an upright front end and brutalist styling complete the look.
BYD has not confirmed an Australian launch, but the Yangwang U8 SUV is already being tested on local roads.
