Tom Papley clears December after knee surgery
Tom Papley had knee surgery but will be fit for pre-season training in December.
Tom Papley underwent surgery on both knees in the off-season. A collision with Fremantle's Karl Worner in the preliminary final caused a grade two medial collateral ligament strain.
That injury would have sidelined him for 4-6 weeks. Papley also had an arthroscope to fix a separate issue he carried through September.
Neither injury will delay his return to training. The 30-year-old will be ready when pre-season begins in December.
Only captain Callum Mills faces a longer recovery. Mills ruptured his ACL in the qualifying final.
He faces up to 12 months on the sidelines.
