Klitschko wins court order to recover Panettiere's missing jewelry
Wladimir Klitschko won permission to involve police in recovering jewelry allegedly sold from his late partner's estate.
Hayden Panettiere's 11-year-old daughter Kaya appeared by video at a Los Angeles court hearing on October 8. Boxer Wladimir Klitschko, her father, asked for help recovering property from the late actress's estate.
The judge gave Klitschko temporary guardian powers over his daughter's inheritance. Klitschko can now ask police to recover personal items.
A lawyer said a person outside the family took jewelry from Panettiere and sold it to a local pawn shop. The shop won't give details without police contact.
Panettiere starred in the TV show Heroes. She died on August 16 at age 36 from fentanyl and other drugs.
The temporary powers stay in place until a follow-up hearing on December 7.
