Three arrested after armed robbery spree in stolen car across Brisbane

Three people arrested after armed robberies involving a black Haval H6 stolen from a car wash, tracked by helicopter across multiple suburbs.

Police arrested three people after a series of armed robberies across Brisbane suburbs involving a stolen vehicle. A man and woman allegedly threatened a female resident with a knife in Kuraby.

The man and woman tried to steal her car about 3:15pm Friday. The same offenders are believed to have attempted another armed robbery in Sunnybank Hills earlier that day.

A black Haval H6 taken from a car wash in Goodna on Wednesday was used in the robberies. Police spotted the vehicle in Waterford at 5pm.

A helicopter tracked its movements through Forest Lake, Sumner Park, Corinda and Indooroopilly. At one point the car cut through a service station, narrowly missing a cyclist.

Police used a tyre deflation device near Milton about 6:13pm. The vehicle stopped on Gailey Road in St Lucia seven minutes later.

Two women aged 26 and 22, and a man aged 24, were charged.
