Volleyball coach faces 14 charges over alleged grooming of 15-year-old
Ezekiel Jeth Cureg, 26, pleaded not guilty to grooming a 15-year-old and allegedly assaulting her.
A PE teacher's aide and volleyball coach is facing court on 14 charges including grooming a child and sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl. Ezekiel Jeth Cureg, 26, met the girl at a sporting event early this year and they communicated for months before he allegedly visited her home for four nights.
Court documents allege he repeatedly touched her without consent, told her his reputation would be over if she spoke out, and assaulted her in his car and at his apartment. When the girl discovered her mother had called police she told Cureg what happened.
He allegedly replied: "Shit, did they find out?" Cureg is out on bail and must stay at his Casey home.
He cannot leave unless accompanied by his parents. He cannot use a phone, access social media, or be alone with anyone under 18 except his siblings.
His case returns to court in January.
