Erin Patterson appeal outcome decided Friday
Victoria's Court of Appeal will announce its decision on Erin Patterson's appeal of her triple murder conviction.
The court of appeal will rule on Erin Patterson's appeal on Friday at 10am. The court will also review her sentence.
Patterson was sentenced last year to life imprisonment with a 33-year non-parole period for poisoning her ex-husband's parents and his aunt with beef wellington at a lunch. Patterson is also facing a sentence review that could result in a longer term.
Her lawyers argued in August that jurors staying in the same hotel as police and prosecutors during deliberation was a catastrophic failure of justice. The court could uphold the conviction, overturn it entirely, order a retrial, or increase her sentence.
Patterson is not expected to attend the decision in person.
