Breakers shut down 36ers in dominant NBL display
Parker Jackson-Cartwright posted 27 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds as the Breakers beat the 36ers 88-72.
New Zealand dominated Adelaide at the Entertainment Centre, holding the 36ers to just 30 points in the second half. Jackson-Cartwright controlled the game with his all-round play and nearly notched a triple-double.
Mojave King celebrated his 100th game with 18 points including four threes, while ex-36ers captain Dejan Vasiljevic scored 15 points, all in the first half, in his first game back in Adelaide since being released after last season's grand final.
The 36ers' poor shooting, six of 29 threes and six of 14 free throws, sealed their fate. The loss caps a rough 48 hours for Adelaide after losing to Illawarra by 22 points on Friday.
