St Kilda posts equal-lowest AFLW score in loss to Bulldogs
St Kilda kicked 0.1 (1), equal to the lowest score in AFLW history, in a loss to Western Bulldogs on Saturday.
St Kilda made unwanted history, recording an equal-lowest score of 0.1 (1) in a loss to the Western Bulldogs. The Saints only troubled the scoreboard in the final 46 seconds of the match.
St Kilda suffered its eighth straight loss this season and remains the only winless team. Coach Nick Dal Santo pointed to a combination of factors: a young squad, an extensive injury list, and a six-day break compared to the Bulldogs' eight.
Travel to and from the Gold Coast last week and then to Ballarat left the team tired, he said. Despite a promising performance against Gold Coast the week before, the Saints could not replicate that form.
They have now lost their opening eight games by an average of 39 points and sit with a percentage of just 37.2.
