Benson Boone's Wollongong cafe wrap becomes three-time hit with pop star

American singer Benson Boone returned three times to Levendi cafe to buy their Mexican chicken wrap during an October visit.

When pop star Benson Boone landed in Australia, he bypassed Sydney's luxury hotels and headed to Wollongong. Benson's girlfriend lives there and a harbour cafe had caught his eye.

Benson's first stop at Levendi was casual: a coffee and a Mexican chicken wrap. Boone went back twice more, buying two wraps each visit, unable to resist the house-made sauce and succulent chicken.

The real impact came after Boone name-dropped the wrap in an interview. He called it his favourite meal he'd eaten in Australia.

Staff were stunned, a barista had to look up his Spotify to confirm the American accent belonged to someone famous. The menu item is now nicknamed 'The Booney' on Uber Eats, with sales climbing as customers ask 'Is that the wrap?'.

Chris Hemsworth quietly ordered one while filming Extraction 3 nearby, though the only reason people sussed him out was because he was so tall.
