Forrestania Resources completes 24 gold acquisitions in WA consolidation drive
Since David Geraghty became chair in July 2025, Forrestania Resources has announced 24 acquisitions across Western Australia's goldfields region.
David Geraghty joined Forrestania Resources as a non-executive director in May 2025 after 21 years at mining company Mineral Resources, becoming chair in July 2025. The company launched an aggressive buying campaign.
The biggest purchase was the $300 million Edna May gold project from Ramelius Resources. Forrestania then built a resource base of over 2 million ounces across 13 deposits.
The company is now a $750 million-plus player with two mills being refurbished. Share prices climbed from 1 cent in early 2025 to a peak of 69 cents in February, though they have since dropped to 32 cents as gold prices fell and the Edna May deal caused some dilution.
