Tasmanian 10-year-old raises $15,700 for his school
Easton Lovegrove door-knocked and raised $15,700 from more than 400 donors for Norwood Primary.
When Easton Lovegrove started knocking on doors around Norwood to ask for donations, he thought he might raise $4,000 or $5,000. Easton, a year 4 student, collected $15,700 for his school.
More than 400 people and businesses gave money, from $50 to $500 each. Easton's goal was simple: more play equipment and extra support for kids who need it.
His dad Matt helped him expand from their neighbourhood to local businesses, which impressed everyone. Mr Lovegrove said Easton may well have broken the Australian record for this fundraiser, which was around $11,000.
