Anthropic IPO set to value AI giant at $2.1 trillion
Anthropic is raising up to $US100 billion with a tranche for Australian investors before a US listing by end of November.
Anthropic, the company behind Claude AI, is preparing a global public offering that could value it at around $US1.5 trillion, or $A2.1 trillion. The raise could include a separate share offer for Australian investors through Bell Potter, CommSec, LGT Wealth, Macquarie, Morgans, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Sharesies and Stake.
A prospectus is expected to be filed soon with ASIC. Australian investors have been driving a shift toward US tech stocks over the past six months.
Half of their most-traded 20 shares are now listed in America. That appetite mirrors strong demand for SpaceX shares when Elon Musk's rocket company went public earlier this year, attracting about 28,000 Australian investors.
Local money is now chasing NVIDIA, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Meta and other US tech giants.
